Only select year and month in date picker

Hello,

Is there a way to only select the year and month in the date picker? The day is not relevant for my case. In the database, it can still have the full date, as I can just extract the year and month. However, the date picker itself should not show the day.
I see that it is possible in the newest version of the library that you adapted, but I don't see how it's possible with your implementation.

Exchange provider that allow impersonate rights modification

Hello all,

A client has an Exchange server provided by OVH (no Office 365). Their issue is that OVH won't let them setup impersonate rights on an user to sync with Efficy.

They do not want to migrate to Office 365 or get an On premise server for this.

Does anyone know of a client that has an Exchange server provider that can allow impersonate rights ?

It's a French client so a French provider/Hosted in France would be nice.

I recently received this question.
How can we avoid https://extranet.domain.com/crm to be accessible while having an Efficy installation on the same folder (Efficy is using https://efficy.domain.com/crm)

You can simply add a blocking request rule
Requested url: "matches the pattern"
Using: "Exact Match"
Pattern: "crm/" or "^crm" if you prefer using regular expressions

Warning, this rule will need to be above the regular crm rewriting rule

You'll also need to add a condition
input :{HTTP_HOST}
"Does not matches the pattern"
Pattern: extranet.domain.com

If you want to allow it only for one website, use "matches the pattern" and your URL
(in this example efficy.domain.com)

In the web.config sample, the file extention .txt is set to "not allowed"

I have some issues after migrating actions from a 2012 summer++ database to a 11.3

Main of my RDV with ressources are not displayed into agenda when I choose the ressource in the liste of users.

I shown in database that the ACTI_USER status was 2.
So value *Invited* if I believe EDN.
In standard Ressources always accept by default the RDV. So all should be 3 Accepted.

So maybe I could update by SQL all my status to 3.
Problems some are also in status 3. But what was the value of 3 in the 2012 summer ++ ?
Is there a description of the values available with previous version vs new one.

Issues with sidebar after chrome update

Hello,

A client reported problems with efficy since release 77 of chrome (using efficy 10SP2 but will upgrade to 11.3 very soon).

Custom protocols could be checked to always use a certain program. I beleive this is also the case with efficy? (see screen below, it will be clearer)

The problem in this case is when the user even clicks on "Open Efficy", nothing happens. Even a reinstall of the sidebar didn't work.
What did seem to work was to use the url to log into efficy after wich the sidebar would open correctly.

Are there other reports of chrome users experiencing problems with this change? Do we have any fixes or workarounds to offer?

Hi,

for a customer we are upgrading them to Efficy 11.2.
They are using the switch for userrole a lot and they've found an issue with it.

When the user has logged in it shows the default userrole:

Opening the general options to switch the userrole:

Default userrole is still shown which isn't OK as the userrole is switched:

After reloading the page the correct userrole is shown:

Is this a known issue of Efficy 11.2?

I installed both the latest versions of 11.1 and 11.2 on my Windows OS:

Efficy 11.1.17608 x64
Efficy 11.2.17611 x64

Only the last installed version can be used, the other version throws an "Interface not supported" error. Pretty sure it's related to the Dotnet dlls, but I thought this issue was already fixed.

So, this is in fact a known Windows 10 bug.

Solution is quite easy:

Open a Windows PowerShell window by using the Run as administrator option.
Run the following commands:
Stop-Service -Force WAS
Remove-Item -Recurse -Force C:\inetpub\temp\appPools*
Start-Service W3SVC

i would like to understand what is the difference between ExchangeQueueListenerService and ExchangeQueueSyncService.
I’ve find some info on edn about the difference between query-base synchro (ExchangeSyncService) and queue-based synchro (ExchangeQueueSyncService or ExchangeQueueListener ?) but I don’t find the real difference between QueueListener and QueueSync.

When we try to download a document's file attachment from outside our domain or/and without efficy side bar, Efficy couldn't download because of a wrong URL: in this case he uses the local efficy server computer name instead of the our IIS defined URL.
It seems <%GetAppBase()%> returns the wrong URL.
Defining the AppBase in SYS_STORAGE table give 'reconnect through sidebar' message.

Open client session loses customs folder

Most of the client sessions have lost the reference to the customs/ardis folder as defined in the efficy sidebar last Friday.
They were just working fine in the morning and a few hours later efficy uses the customs/default suddenly, although the sidebar settings are unchanged.
What can be the cause of this and how can it be avoided in the future?

Efficy11 r12385 missing upgradeDb scripts

Hi,

in the r12385, after installing everything the usual
C:\Program Files\Efficy\11.0\scripts folder is not created. so the upgradeDb tool throw an error cause the scripts are not there.

May just simply use the scripts folder of the Efficy11 previous release?

For some reason the URL rewriting module iisurlrewrite2.0rtwx64.msi could not be installed on my Windows 10. Installation aborted because my IIS is apparently not being a higher version than 7.0. This is kind of weird because the version is 10.0.

This lead to the error IIS HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error: 0x8007000d when I used the web.config file with the rewrite rules.

I installed the following url-rewrite extension from Microsoft

This made my IIS site work again.

If someone knows why the first method didn't work or also has the same issue, please share your experiences below!

disable vs7debug only for Efficy on a server

Hi,

The Efficy server is mutualized with a BI (micro strategy) server. for some reason the microstrategy applicative needs the vs7debug engine to run properly...

as far as I know the only way that I have to make the efficy error engine to work properly is to disable vs7debug by renaming it.

Do you know a way to disable it through IIS or else only for Efficy use? exceptions to set or anything...

I want to know what the registry entries are for the Efficy File Helper. This is handy for the ones that are using Citrix/Terminal Server so that they can add this to the registry. If this is done then the users can open documents/mails normally, now most of the time they have problems with this.

For what is it used?

Nothing is mentioned in the satellite software section of the installation guide.

To allow side-bar instalation, the customer wrote a program that

force logon as admin
download de side bar from a defined location

it's quite difficult to modify the compatibility view by programming apparently then it's not a solution.

If it's easy for us why we don't add this metatag?

We are currently working in a big Efficy 2012 upgrade project.

The client have strong security settings and the most part of Efficy user are nomad (then GPO used is quite complicated).

According that Efficy 2012 require IE compatibility view enable and Efficy 10 require IE compatibility view setting disable, why we don't specify a meta tag to force Compatibility view disable?

A mid-December windows 7 update (KB3104002) has updated IE 11 from the version 11.0.25 to the version 11.0.26, which has an issue with a function used in Motools 1.3.2 (used in Efficy 2012 Summer) and which has 2 known impacts :
- The slider is not working anymore
- The dashboard widget cannot be opened anymore (widgets are correctly displayed but cannot be changed)
