TFPClient connection error with synchro marketting (Actito)

Hi,

For a customer, I'm using the marketting synchro for synchronisation with Actito.
Actito can't connect to Efficy FTP (they don't use the good protocol), so i'm trying to connect to Actito FTP, it work manually with filezilla, but it doesn't work with the synchro.

I always receive a "Login or Password is incorrect" but, they are correct.
They came from the credential table, directly get with the code of the synchro, and if a copy/past them in filezilla, it's working correctly.
I've made some debug, put a spy to it and see that login/password are correct , i also see in the code that useTLS and passive mode are set to true, (and that's need for Actito ftp).

Have you any explication/idea/other solution ?

Efficy Entreprise Throttle Limit on API

Since Efficy Enterprise 2021 Build r26049, the API Request Throttling as been introduced : "New system to limit the daily number of API requests on the Efficy web server; additional API requests will be slowed down."

If we reach 100 000 api request in the day, then the API request are slowdown and this can be checked in the Admin Console.

But what is the Throttle delay (ms) by default and where can we configure that ?
And where can we also setup the maximum number of api request ?

since the minor upgrade we had last week, a customer said that their "extranet contact" is randomly locked.

Wish rules could lock a contact ?

I know that if we try to connect with a wrong password many time we are lock temporarily.
Is there any else possibility to be locked ? Could that be related to the upgrade ?

I am working on an invoice template in Word, with the Efficy Word integration. I save my document as a template.

In my document, among other things, I insert this :

[$=CONT.TITLE] [$=CONT.FIRSTNAME] [$=CONT.NAME]

Then, in Efficy, from a Contact, when I "Add Link to Document" > "Launch Template", I can show fields from both the Contact table and the Company table.

I notice that if a Contact has multiple links with multiple Companies, only the Company with the Main Link will be selected.

Now the problem I have is if I want to Launch Template, but from a Company. Then I am able to show Company name, but it won't retrieve any Contact field to show.

So my question is : is it possible to generate the document from a Company and show data from a specific contact ? For example I have contacts which have the Function "Invoicing Contact" and I would like to show fields from these.

disableSecurity inefficient when called via node request

I implemented a minimum node file to demonstrate it, where I try to open an edit context on a record for which the user linked to the API key has no right:

Flexmail sync "customizations"

Hi all,

i would like to ask some questions concerning the flexmail "functionality".

First off, we do have a current solution to sync contacts from efficy to flexmail. It is done in the workflow, so after each update of a contact, or (un)linking of profiles, the data is synced from efficy to flexmail. This was a good idea, but since flexmail changed the payment and the API calls are limited, it is not the way to go any longer. So we need/want to switch to your solution of syncing data between efficy and flexmail.

1)
Do we need to delete all contacts from flexmail, before we start the script in the scheduled workflow the first time? Or can i update values or insert records in efficy, to work with the "old" contacts in flexmail? I do store the flexmail id in efficy, as well as the mailing code in both databases. It would be annoying to start from 0 in flexmail, just because of reports and stuff like this.

Flexmail is not offering the languages we need to work with. We asked to add some languages, but flexmail is not interested in. So we are working with a custom field for the language and set polish in the original language field in flexmail for all contacts, just to don't get confused.
Can we set a constant value in fields.js instead of the "EfficyField"? Additionally, is there even the possibility to use a function, instead of the EfficyField? We are using a salutation field in flexmail, which is not needed in efficy itself, so right now, i'm calculating the value each time i sync the data to flexmail. Would be great, if there is a possibility to run functions as "source field".

4)
Do we need to set FullSynchro to false for each field, or is there a global parameter to set this value? At the moment, there is no need for us to sync contacts from flexmail to efficy, except bounces or unsubscribes from newsletters.

I'm overwriting the fields.js file to export some additional (custom) fields from Efficy to flexmail.

However, for this to work i also need the flexmail field name (parameter extfield). My question is how can we know what the field name is?
In the flexmail interface, the client can add custom fields but we need the original field name to sync it... (like freefield1)

I was wondering if it was possible to save images (like screenshots) into the memo of an Efficy mail object? The memo only contains the unformatted text.

This question is for both using the outlook add-in and the Automail uploader service.

=> For the service, i tried using the option "Mails are HTML formatted" but i'm not seeing any difference.

Efficy (Web & Mobile) both use the "Google Maps" & the "Google Places" services.

Efficy Mobile:

Maps (iOS & Android): We are using the same API key for all customers (managed by the Cloud team) --> it works "out of the box"
Places: API key need to be added in custom settings for iOS and/or Android. All the details are here: https://help.efficy.com/edn/dev/mbad_creategoogleplacesapikey

Efficy Web:

Files of the features using the API key are SearchMap.htm, getPick.htm & googleMaps.js
In all these features we use both the "Maps" & the "Place" libraries and the same API key is used for all those features (located in SYS_SETTINGS.Efficy.googleMapsApiKey)
Therefore, the API key should have the "Maps Javascript SDK" & "Places API" enabled (doc here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key)
For this key, you can add the restriction "HTTP referrers (web sites)" (unless you are also using the same key for the Mobile App "Places API"; in this case, you should not add any restriction on this key)

I have a strange problem with a customer, when we launch instant email from project consult and i choose an email template, the attachments of the linked documents to the project are also attached to the email.

Word Template did not fill fields from relation table of a new created entity

Hi all,

I created 2 (Contracts and Brands) new entities in Efficy, now I have a problem with a Word template.

On the template I need information from "Contracts" and also from "Brands". I added all needed fields to the template, but when running the template i.e. from the "Contracts" entity, the related information from "Brands" are empty.
The same when I run the template from "Brands", then "Contracts" informations are not filled.

So it seems that I missed something but could not find what, any hint would be very helpful.

I don't find any remote implementation of the consultDetail API, so far I always found a solution with a query, but that is quite stupid.

Template merge of xml based office documents DOCX, XLSX is hard to use

While merging XML based Office formats like docx, xlsx, Efficy unzips the file and replaces all template tags with the data from the context. The contents are zipped again to construct the merged file.

This merge design doesn't require Word or Excel to be opened and is fast, but it also has disadvantages that I will explain by an example. This Word template is build using the Efficy Word add-in. The fields are inserted by the fields selector dialog.

As seen by the user, this template looks perfect.

After the template is merged in a document, we can see there is an issue on line2. The last tag is not replaced. Why?

Let's unzip the template file and open document.xml. Now we can see that line2 is split in different <xml> parts. That's why Efficy didn't replace it during the merge.

This splitting behavior of office leads to users frustrations and lost time. They will blame Efficy, but actually it's office, or maybe not?

Would it be technically possible to add an extra feature to the Office add-in to "verify" the tags used in documents before they are saved back in Efficy?

Or could we simulate a merge (with fake values) while creating the templates and detect issues instantly?

Other ideas?

Hi,

I have a script that create users directly from a SQL script. the account and the acc_auth are correctly inserted.

Therefore, when the automatically created user logs in Efficy, he just can't see his actions on the agenda (of course all the security have been checked).
As soon as I open and commit the user from Conficy with no more changes the user can see the actions on agenda.

What Am i missing in the creation of the user?
do you have a better way to create user from scripts?

Creating a DataSet serverside without an SQL query

An Efficy DataGrid generates a grid/table from a dataset. As far as I know, a DataSet can only be created by executing a query to the relational database.

In case a datasource is JSON - obtained by a web request to an external REST service - could we actually create a DataSet with ServerJS and bind it to a DataGrid?

Features like paging, sorting, filtering and grouping would be possible.

Error while saving word document in efficy

Hello,

While attempting to save a word document in effecy as a new document, the client receives following error message :

The document reference is a required field, so i can understand why this error is given. I can't however define a standard reference because there are multiple possibilities. And the client needs the field to be required.

After clicking OK, the document editing screen appears just fine with the document attached.

Is there a solution for this scenario? If the editing screen appears, why do i get the error message as if a document has been tried to be saved?

Efficy version is 11.1.

How to avoid session timeout for a long datasynchro remote

A new entity fails in getting its own fields in the "field integration wizard" of the Office Add-In :

These fields seems to be retrieved by a function called GetTemplateFields (located the DLL, or somewhere else...).

Understanding what is the principle of the query launched by this function can help me a lot in fixing that issue!
