Flexmail Sync : Several emails for a same contact

I have 2 questions about the Efficy / Flexmail sync:

1/ if the email of a contact on efficy changes, will the contact's email be overwritten during the synchronization on Flexmail? if so, is the old email kept in flexmail?

2/ If a contact has several emails on efficy and subscribes to a newsletter with his 2nd email. He exists with his email 1 on Flexmail. Will there be a duplicate on flexmail?

Is there a way to resynchronize into Efficy a campaign which has launched directly from Flexmail?

A campaign has been launched from Flexmail by error. Is there any possibility to get this campaign resynchronized back into Efficy, so that we can also get the campaign report available in Efficy?
Which procedure do we need to follow to do that?

FlexMail Synchro Exception "Query TimeOut"

For a customer with intensive use of FlexMail emailings, a query of the FlexMail synchro can lead to a timeout.

To avoid this, specify a user WITHOUT FULL ACCESS to run the synchro scheduled script !

Flexmail sync "customizations"

Hi all,

i would like to ask some questions concerning the flexmail "functionality".

First off, we do have a current solution to sync contacts from efficy to flexmail. It is done in the workflow, so after each update of a contact, or (un)linking of profiles, the data is synced from efficy to flexmail. This was a good idea, but since flexmail changed the payment and the API calls are limited, it is not the way to go any longer. So we need/want to switch to your solution of syncing data between efficy and flexmail.

1)
Do we need to delete all contacts from flexmail, before we start the script in the scheduled workflow the first time? Or can i update values or insert records in efficy, to work with the "old" contacts in flexmail? I do store the flexmail id in efficy, as well as the mailing code in both databases. It would be annoying to start from 0 in flexmail, just because of reports and stuff like this.

Flexmail is not offering the languages we need to work with. We asked to add some languages, but flexmail is not interested in. So we are working with a custom field for the language and set polish in the original language field in flexmail for all contacts, just to don't get confused.
Can we set a constant value in fields.js instead of the "EfficyField"? Additionally, is there even the possibility to use a function, instead of the EfficyField? We are using a salutation field in flexmail, which is not needed in efficy itself, so right now, i'm calculating the value each time i sync the data to flexmail. Would be great, if there is a possibility to run functions as "source field".

4)
Do we need to set FullSynchro to false for each field, or is there a global parameter to set this value? At the moment, there is no need for us to sync contacts from flexmail to efficy, except bounces or unsubscribes from newsletters.

Hello,

I'm overwriting the fields.js file to export some additional (custom) fields from Efficy to flexmail.

However, for this to work i also need the flexmail field name (parameter extfield). My question is how can we know what the field name is?
In the flexmail interface, the client can add custom fields but we need the original field name to sync it... (like freefield1)

I have to change the way to synchronize flexmail to a new entity. I manipulated the constant.js file into the serverJs and I want to understand what are the variable values.

I added a new status in the lookup LK_PUBL_STATUS but if I select it in a new personalized email, the contact status is not assigned to the selected value.

Is it possible to (in custom) do mailings through Flexmail while not only using EMAIL1, but also another field (FEMAILCC) to send the mailing to ???

If So how can we do this the best possible way ?

Efficy 11: What is the best way to override standard serverjs scripts like flexmail ?

Dear all,

I need to change some part of flexmail integration for a customer, like adding the contact title to the contact sent to flexmail.

I looked at the sample custom and the buildnotes of Efficy 11, but I didn't find the proper way to just change the "fields.js" file

is it like the macro files, can I just copy past the fields.js to my custom folder "serverjs/flexmail" or do I have to completly copy the flexmail folder in my custom to do the modification ?

Efficy 11: Flexmail settings Upgrade from Efficy 2014 ?

In Efficy 10, there was a function to run "upgradeFrom6640" from the serverscript "ExternalMailing.js" in order to setup the Flexmail Table, setup the account on the Everyone User Group, updating the K_FLEXMAIL field in the Campaign and update the Efficy Profiles.

In efficy 11, this function has been removed, so how do we upgrade Flexmail from Efficy 2014 to Efficy 11.

It is very important because it seems that the Flexmail accounts are now stored in the new table "ACC_AUTH"

Automated Flexmail e-mailsending

For a customer we want to send e-mails to contacts in an Efficy-campaign automatically using a scheduled task.

We want to store some properties in a category in the campaign:
- Automated sending (boolean)
- Flexmail message (ID)
- E-mail subject
- Status after sending
- Sender's E-mail
- Sender's E-mail
- Reply e-mail

The scheduled task must check the campaigin if there are contacts with an empty status. If so he can start the sending of the contacts and the message properties to Flexmail by bypassing the "Send personlized e-mail" form.

Is it possible to bypass this form, so we can let Efficy automatically send mails when a contact is added to a campaign ?

There is an issue for On premise Efficy 10 SP2 customers when a test campaign with Flexmail is used… Workflow send a mail to ALL users linked to publication.

This is solved in Efficy SP2 + and a patch is available here:

in Holland we have a customer who wants to use the flexmail integration. Efficy is used on a secured environment on which all external internet connection is routed via a proxy server. Is there a way for Efficy to use this proxyserver ?

If not, which ports have to be open in the firewall ? At this moment we have opened the IP 37.148.180.105, but that doesn't seem to be sufficient.

In Efficy 10 you could have notice that the flexmail account settings evolved.

First step is to check your flexmail sys_storage information.
Even if I am a big SQL fan you can do that from conficy

then, check, set or add the fields :

FlexBounceContact is an Email
FlexId is an integer (on 4 digits in my case)
FlexPassword and FlexUser are my password/login
FlexToken is a key in Hexadecimal (looking like a windows key)

once it s done, launch the service SchedulerAdmin.exe

set a task pointing to ExternalMailing.js :

Then Run the task.
you are done.

You need the Flexmail table to be empty to run this function,
you can bypass it by manually configuring your account(s)
