We have a customer that wants to upgrade his Efficy From Oracle database to SqlServer Database.

Do we have a manual to do this kind of upgrade please? and how long should we estimate this?

Efficy Enterprise 11.2 Release Build r25277 is now available from the Efficy Partner FTP.

This build integrates the recent changes for Exchange Sync services to allow new authentication scheme, addressing the depreciation of basic authentication for some Microsoft services.
This consists in a new set of authentication parameters (applicationID / TenantID / and Secret for synchronization profiles).

Corporate 2021 : Migration des graphiques

Une des nouveautés de la v2021 est qu’un graphique peut afficher plusieurs indicateurs en même temps.

Afin que cela soit possible, un nouveau champ multivalué a été créé appelé SdiIndicators.
Et la liste de recherche SNADISPLAY modifiée à cet effet contient un insource com.edeal.frontline.helper.custom.CustomListSnapshotDisplay dont le traitement fait appel à la table MvaSdiIndicators.
Dorénavant,afin d’afficher les anciens graphiques dans la recherche, une migration est nécessaire de SdiSnaID vers SdiIndicators.
Rien de plus simple :
1.Récupérer le SdiID d’un graphique à migrer
2.saisir dans la barre du navigateur : //read_snapshotdisplay.fl?id=********">https:////read_snapshotdisplay.fl?id=********

Efficy 11.3 - 23072 - Auto Change not working

In Designer the fields are configured as follows :

In Efficy 2012 it worked fine, but now in the new 11.3 the auto-fill in of the fields next to the dropdowns doesnt work anymore. Is this a known issue, or do we need to do some custom to activate this ?

Does anyone know if the SYS_SETTINGS entries are automatically (or not) updated during the Upgradedb.exe ?

Because I remarked that there is quite some new settings in “Common” and “Efficy” of Efficy 2021 entries like those :

For Common there are those new entries:
- signingPartner
- authentication
- synchronousEmail

For Efficy there are those new entries:
- invSettings
- disableMobileApp
- agendaIcalShareSelfOnly
- hideBirthYearAndAge

some entries moved place like the “oneAll” entry this one has been placed in the “authentication” entry
some have been renamed like “chat” entry which becomes “websocket”

etc…

Into the new 11.3 (Build 11.3.18130.0 2019-06-28 11:03) the activation of the category doc$invoice is mandatory to access to the Plus Button to add a product.

Should I understand R&D decided to block all link to a document if product is not use to create invoice ?
It's a problem in that case. Lot of my customers use documents linked to products to add Pictures or technical PDF description. Then use gallery into product to show pictures and technical detail of the product.

So do you know if it possible to bypass that without any customization. Maybe there is something to parameter into designer ? The only solution for the moment to me is to activate the category by default into the document. But it's stupid !

export query to excel 11.2

I have a client who was in 10.2 and now goes to 11.2.
The problem I have is that when he wants to export a query to Excel, it fails because there are too many columns and so the server tells that the string is too big. But in 10.2 the client has never had any problems.
I looked at the structure of the two standards and actually it doesn't work the same way. I tried to add to the custom the same functioning as in the standard but it doesn't work. It doesn't take into account my changes... Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi all,

I made a migration from Efficy 2014 6100 to an Efficy 11.2.17611
Upgrade DB has been done without error with conficy.
Connection in Efficy and Conficy seems to be good.
I have some "normal" error in Efficy linked to the custom not fully migrated yet.

But, i have some error in conficy (in user and group interface)

CAMCARD & K_FLEXMAIL field not found

i have compare the acc_accounts table with an empty efficy 11.2 database, and effectivly, these 2 fields exist in the empty db, but they didn't exist in the migrated db.

Of course i can create the fields manually, but the question is why ? how can i be sure that i have not problem with other fields and other tables ?

In the scope of migration from Efficy 10.2 to 11.2 I am facing some challanges with the Oracle client upgrade 32bit -> 64bit

Problem : At the client we have 20+ production servers and they have to be updated in rather short time. In case of unforeseen issues with the upgrade the impact on downtime of Efficy PRD is big.

To diminish this impact we thought about the following solution :
- Install 64 bit version server by server before the migration day
- inside the PATH variable specify 32 bit version and not 64
- during the migration day switch PATH from 32 to 64

Questions :
Do you see any flows in the foreseen solution ?
How does exactly Efficy choose what oracle client should be used ?
Is it possible to specify explicitly to Efficy application, what version should be used ?

"Control"-Click function in Efficy

Before (Efficy 2012) there was the possibility to hold the control key and click on (for example) on the Projects Icon in the Efficy Desktop to open the Project Manager in a separate window.

Can this be seen as a deprecated function, seen as Efficy 11 doesn't react this way anymore on the same manipulation ??

Issue creating new contact + action in 11.2

Hello,

A cloud customer (VCK) has just upgraded to efficy 11.2 build 16718 but there is a problem when the client tries to create a new contact (see screenshot below).

This only happens when creating a new contact and only for the contact module.

Another issue happens when trying to create a new appointment (not task, so only when using the agenda). See screen below.

There is very little custom and the problem persists without custom.
My guess is there is a problem with the database structure but i can't seem to find the causes. I have upgraded the DB with the designer but no luck.

Any advice would be welcome.

Phone-options in Efficy Sidebar are gone after Efficy and Sidebar Update

Hi all,

after a Sidebar update, combined with an Efficy update, the phone otions in the Sidebar are gone. This means the section where I can define the actions (i.e. "create new action" ) during call activation is empty and no selection is possible.

When reviewing the sidebar.log file I have following error:
Error while retrieving the file: https://servername:port/efficy/pages/remote/DialogPhoneOperation.htm

Any hint to solve this issue would be great.

The Efficy Version is: 11.1.16658 and the Sidebar Version is 11.1.16948 with Sync.

DB Upgrade - missing database schema

Dear all,

For a customer we changed the DB User name, in order to make it worked, we have :
1- change the DB Schema (following the post : https://overflow.efficy.com/?qa=807/mssql-server-how-to-change-owner-name )
2- change the Efficy Admin name in ACC_ACCOUNTS
3- change the login in Alias manager

We then kill the com+ and we tried to do an upgrade DB but we encountered issues with the SQL function because they are not prefixed with the schema.

We look at a local DBUpgrade script and in my local environnment the function are prefixed for instance below we can see ADMINR14832.GETOPPORTUNICOMPETITORS_VAL ... on the customer database we dont have the prefix.

So my question is how the UpgradeDb.exe tool is retrieving the database Schema, in order for us to check if we missed something in DB ?

- Designer: Avoid broadcasting status when database is not connected ($DESIGNER$ alias at database creation); reduce default AdminCheckInterval to 15 seconds.
- Secure notifications: Hide memo and field values if user doesn't have read access to element.
- Tag function parser will automatic delay query-dependent tag function evaluation when Query isn't yet available.
- Activate possible use of AccentInsensitiveSearch for document search (FILES.PATH and FILES.COMMENT).
- Convert Document To Opportunity copies products to Opportunity.
- Avoid raising error on parameters of a native SQL query containing "now" or "today".
- Automatically remove the security clause if the query contains a <#userlink> clause and the list of users contains only the current user.
- DBStaging tool: fix issue of 'Database engine is not defined'.
- Correct database upgrade error when the FLEXMAIL table did not exist in the original structure
- All ActiveX and Java applets have been removed from the build.

Upgrading from 11.0 should be a painless procedure requiring little to no work.

Does the 'EXTCODE' field in the CONTACTS table vanished in Efficy 11

Hi,

I do have a lots of script from Efficy 10 sp2+ using the 'EXTCODE' fields of the CONTACTS table. During the migration, I noticed this field has gone.

Is there any reason why ?

I did check in several project with Efficy 11, in every 'contacts' table the field has vanished.

The corrective build r12921 (May 22, 2018) for Efficy 11 is now available on the Partner FTP.

A bit faster than expected we release a new build to provide backward compatibility with the existing notifications in the database which we broke in the build r12835. The problem was by all means temporary (new notifications always appear correctly), but we deemed it useful to provide this correction.

The build also improves the following issues that were present in the previous builds:

Easy Import Wizard: Pass correct date and floating point to search query (CFT-2018-86868).
Sidebar: Solve issue with pending protocol actions (CFT-2018-87555).
Mass update: An unlimited number of records can now be updated (CFT-2018-86946, CFT-2015-62936).
Guest pages: Add Stack Trace to Guest_Error.log file (CFT-2018-87225).
Convert to Opportunity now copies the SUBJECT or NAME of the original Action/Mail/Document to the opportunity (CFT-2017-82786).
Notifications: provide backward compatibility for legacy MIME64 encoding of notification data (issue introduced in build r12835).

Efficy 11: ACC_AUTH, freshly new database, cannot find where Administrator password is stored

I have installed Efficy 11 R12835 and I have created a new database.
I tried to check the modification done on Authentication, so I checked the ACC_AUTH table, but the table is empty ... even if I can connect with the Administrator.

Is the Administrator password handled another way ?

And does the procedure for changing the administrator password change?

Efficy11 r12385 missing upgradeDb scripts

Hi,

in the r12385, after installing everything the usual
C:\Program Files\Efficy\11.0\scripts folder is not created. so the upgradeDb tool throw an error cause the scripts are not there.

May just simply use the scripts folder of the Efficy11 previous release?

Fix issue in export files from project when attachments have dots in names.
Avoid sending meeting acceptance e-mail to meeting organizer when notification feed is active.
Using a recent user selection in an edit window will add the user list to the current selection instead of replacing it.
External document sharing: attachments are shown in same order as in Efficy.
Mail Uploader: avoid uploading mails for inactive users.
Correct ConvertToEntity function to use whitelisted action.
Closing a window with the "X" button will close edit context.
Correct spurious change of Contact search settings.
Updated Build Notes.

We plan to issue one more corrective build in the coming weeks to finalize the Efficy 11 release.

Efficy 11 migration exception: Unknown entity for relation grid: "Acti"

Hi,

I've made an upgrade to Efficy11 (well done Efficy Team about this because this version is really enjoyable btw).

Anyway I've encountered an issue where Editing an Appo is not working : Big orange Error : Unknown entity for relation grid: "Acti". weirdly it worked fine with tasks.

After further research I ve found that in this version it's now possible to link task to an appointement and not to a task.

so this was found in MacroEdit.txt : line 1604

point is that if a link exist between acti and acti the sysentityviews must have changed as well so i ve checked and this is what I had to add in my sysentityviews named : "ActiEdit"

the tableviews has to contain :

Acti_Acti=Acti;Acti_Acti2

because my entityviews was custom this has not been override by the dbUpgrade.

I'm in a migration process and I'm trying to set some "navigation date" button.

Here is how it was done in Efficy2012:

Most of time, when a standard field disapeared from a version to another, it's still available in conficy but not displayed.
Use "forms" in Conficy, to make it visible again...

This is the case for field "Main company' in COMP_CONT.

How to set a Flexmail account in a Efficy10 upgrade from 2014 (6640)

In Efficy 10 you could have notice that the flexmail account settings evolved.

First step is to check your flexmail sys_storage information.
Even if I am a big SQL fan you can do that from conficy

then, check, set or add the fields :

FlexBounceContact is an Email
FlexId is an integer (on 4 digits in my case)
FlexPassword and FlexUser are my password/login
FlexToken is a key in Hexadecimal (looking like a windows key)

once it s done, launch the service SchedulerAdmin.exe

set a task pointing to ExternalMailing.js :

Then Run the task.
you are done.

You need the Flexmail table to be empty to run this function,
you can bypass it by manually configuring your account(s)
